Beef Pepper Rice (Pepper Lunch)

A comforting one-pan dish made with beef, rice, sweet corn, and a savory peppery sauce. Easy to make and deeply satisfying, it’s great for quick lunches or cozy dinners.

Ingredients
 

  • Sliced beef ribeye
  • 1 bowl of cooked rice
  • 1/4 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 can corn, drained
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Scallion greens, chopped
  • Black pepper, to taste

Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder

Instructions
 

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and black pepper powder. Set aside.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat with a little oil. Add the onions and cook until softened and translucent.
  3. Push the onions to the center of the skillet and place the cooked rice on top.
  4. Arrange the sliced ribeye around the rice.
  5. Sprinkle the corn over the rice, add the butter, scallion greens, and a generous amount of black pepper.
  6. Drizzle the sauce over everything, mix well, and cook until the beef reaches your desired doneness.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy.
